Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
The verse presents Shiva as lokācārakara—Pati who upholds dharma and guides even the devas—showing that divine grace operates through right order, compassionate instruction, and auspicious joy.
Śambhu is depicted in a personal (saguṇa) mode—smiling and speaking—highlighting that devotees can approach Shiva as an accessible Lord who responds, instructs, and protects the cosmic order, which Linga-worship embodies as the living presence of Shiva.
The takeaway is to cultivate dharmic conduct with devotion: begin worship with calmness and a gentle, joyful mind, then recite Shiva’s mantra (especially the Panchakshara) while remembering him as the guide of all beings.
