Pārvatī’s Return to Her Father’s House and the Auspicious Welcome

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
It highlights Śiva’s līlā: He may conceal His intent to mature the devotee’s understanding, and when insight dawns, one recognizes His sovereignty and grace behind the apparent “deception.”
Seeing Śiva as Prabhu (the personal Lord) supports saguna-bhakti: devotees worship the accessible form (such as the Liṅga) while trusting that His actions—even puzzling ones—are for spiritual uplift.
Cultivate steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with surrender, and reflect after worship that Śiva’s līlā purifies ego and strengthens discernment (sujñāna).
