Habang hinahaplos ang ulo, bigkasin ang mantrang nagsisimula sa “brahmajajñānaṁ prathamam”. Pagkaraan, habang hinahaplos ang pagitan ng mga kilay, bigkasin ang Rudra-sūkta.
Suta Goswami (narrating Shaiva ritual procedure as taught in the Kailasa Samhita context)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Rudra
It teaches mantra-nyāsa: sanctifying the body by placing sacred sound on key centers (head and the ājñā region), aligning the devotee’s awareness with Rudra, the Lord (Pati) who grants purification and liberation.
Nyāsa and Rudra-sūkta japa prepare the worshipper’s body-mind as a fit vessel for Saguna Shiva worship (including Liṅga-pūjā), so that external worship is supported by internal consecration through mantra.
Perform mantra-japa while touching (nyāsa) the head and then the space between the eyebrows, reciting the quoted mantra and then the Rudra-sūkta—linking japa with focused awareness at the ājñā center.
