Mantra 1
अभि प्रियाणि पवते चनोहितो नामानि यह्वो अधि येषु वर्धते आ सूर्यस्य बृहतो बृहन्नधि रथं विष्वञ्चमरुहद्विचक्षणः
He floweth purified towards the dear (oblations), set for delight; the impetuous (Soma) is magnified in those names (of praise): the clear-sighted hath mounted the all-going chariot upon the great support of the lofty Sun.
Mantra 2
अचोदसो नो धन्वन्त्विन्दवः प्र स्वानासो बृहद्देवेषु हरयः वि चिदश्नाना इषयो अरातयो ऽर्यो नः सन्तु सनिषन्तु नो धियः
Unimpelled, let the Soma-drops run for us; sounding as they flow, the tawny (streams) go forth unto the great (company) of the gods: may they be to us noble bestowers, and may they procure for us our prayers (their fulfilment).

एष प्र कोशे मधुमां अचिक्रददिन्द्रस्य वज्रो वपुषो वपुष्टमः अभ्य्र्^ई3तस्य सुदुघा घृतश्चुतो वाश्रा अर्षन्ति पयसा च घेनवः
This (Soma), sweet in the vessel, hath cried aloud; he is Indra’s thunderbolt, the most excellent in form: the well-milking (streams), distilling as it were clarified butter, flow onward in the path of holy order, and the milch-kine (of the rite) run with milk.

प्रो अयासीदिन्दुरिन्द्रस्य निष्कृतं सखा सख्युर्न प्र मिनाति सङ्गिरम् मर्य इव युवतिभिः समर्षति सोमः कलशे शतयामना पथा
The drop hath gone forth to the appointed place of Indra; a friend, as it were, of a friend, he mars not the united hymn: like a youthful gallant he hastens with the maidens; Soma moves in the jar by a path of a hundred courses.

धर्ता दिवः पवते कृत्व्यो रसो दक्षो देवानामनुमाद्यो नृभिः हरिः सृजानो अत्यो न सत्वभिर्वृथा पाजांसि कृणुषे नदीष्वा
The supporter of heaven is purified, the sap, worthy of sacred acts; the power of the gods, to be exhilarated by men: the tawny (Soma), rushing forth like a steed with his energies, makest not thy vigours vain in the streams.

वृषा मतीनां पवते विचक्षणः सोमो अह्नां प्रतरीतोषसां दिवः प्राणा सिन्धूनां कलशां अचिक्रददिन्द्रस्य हार्द्याविशन्मनीषिभिः
The bull of holy thoughts is purified, the discerning Soma; sent forth in the early days, in the dawns of heaven: the life-breaths of the streams, he hath cried aloud in the jars, entering, by the wise, into the heart of Indra.

त्रिरस्मै सप्त धेनवो दुदुह्रिरे सत्यामाशिरं परमे व्योमनि चत्वार्यन्या भुवनानि निर्णिजे चारूणि चक्रे यदृतैरवर्धत
Thrice for him the seven milch-kine have milked forth the true admixture in the highest heaven; he hath made the other four worlds fair for purification, when he increased by the ordinances of holy rite.

इन्द्राय सोम सुषुतः परि स्रवापामीवा भवतु रक्षसा सह मा ते रसस्य मत्सत द्वयाविनो द्रविणस्वन्त इह सन्त्विन्दवः
Flow forth, O Soma, well-pressed for Indra; be thou free from malady, (withstanding) with the Rākṣasas: let not the double-dealers exult in thy juice; let the Soma-drops be here possessed of wealth (and bestowing riches).

असावि सोमो अरुषो वृषा हरी राजेव दस्मो अभि गा अचिक्रदत् पुनानो वारमत्येष्यव्ययं श्येनो न योनिं घृतवन्तमासदत्
Soma hath been expressed, bright, a vigorous one, tawny; like a king, the wondrous (draught) hath cried aloud over the kine: being purified, he passes through the woollen strainer, imperishable; like a falcon he hath alighted on the seat that is rich in unction.

प्र देवमच्छा मधुमन्त इन्दवो ऽसिष्यदन्त गाव आ न धेनवः बर्हिषदो वचनावन्त ऊधभिः परिस्रुतमुस्रिया निर्णिजं धिरे
Sweet Soma-drops go forth towards the god; the kine, as it were, the milch-cows, have lowed: the barhis-seated, endowed with sacred speech, with their udders have set the flowing (Soma) to purification, the ruddy (streams) to cleansing.

अञ्जते व्यञ्जते समञ्जते क्रतुं रिहन्ति मघ्वाभ्यञ्जते सिन्धोरु ऽच्छ्वासे पतयन्तमुक्षणं हिरण्यपावाः पशुमप्सु गृभ्णते .
They anoint, they anoint apart, they anoint together the sacred rite; they lick (it), the bounteous (streams) anoint (it): in the uprising surge of the river, the flying bull—those who purify to golden brightness seize the victim in the waters.

पवित्रं ते विततं ब्रह्मणस्पते प्रभुर्गात्राणि पर्येषि विश्वतः अतप्ततनूर्न तदामो अश्नुते शृतास इद्वहन्तः सं तदाशत
Stretched forth is thy purifier, O Lord of prayer; powerful, thou encompassest the members on every side: the unheated body attains not that raw impurity; the well-cooked (fit) verily, bearing it, reach it altogether.
