Sukta 9.94
अधि यदस्मिन्वाजिनीव शुभः स्पर्धन्ते धियः सूर्ये न विशः । अपो वृणानः पवते कवीयन्व्रजं न पशुवर्धनाय मन्म ॥
adhi yád asmin vājínīva śúbhaḥ spárdhante dhíyaḥ sū́rye ná víśaḥ | apó vṛṇānás pavate kavīyán vrajáṃ ná paśu-várdhanāya mánma ||
When in this (clarified Soma) the luminous forces of thought contend like eager racers, as peoples gather toward the Sun, then he—choosing the Waters (the purifying currents)—flows on, becoming more seer-like, and he establishes a ‘fold’ of ordered fullness for the increase of the inner herds (rays of knowledge and powers), a formation of inspired mind.
