युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः

स यूपाक्षोऽश्रुपूर्णाक्षःपितृव्येनिहतेरणे ।अवरुह्यरथात्क्षिप्रंक्षीणेषुखङ्गमाददे ।।।।
sa yūpākṣo ’śru-pūrṇākṣaḥ pitṛvye nihate raṇe | avaruhya rathāt kṣipraṃ kṣīṇeṣu khaṅgam ādade ||
Si Yūpākṣa, luhaan ang mga mata sa pagkabuwal ng kanyang tiyuhin sa digmaan, ay agad bumaba mula sa karwahe; at nang maubos na ang kanyang mga pana, kinuha niya ang kanyang tabak.
