Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host
ततोहतांस्तान् सहसानिशम्यराजामुमोहपरिप्लुताक्षः ।पुत्रक्षयंभ्रातृवधं च घोरंविचिन्त्यराजाविपुलंप्रदध्यौ ।।।।
tato hatāṃs tān sahasā niśamya rājā mumūha pariplutākṣaḥ | putrakṣayaṃ bhrātṛvadhaṃ ca ghoraṃ vicintya rājā vipulaṃ pradadhyau ||
Nang biglang marinig ng hari na sila’y napatay, siya’y nawalan ng ulirat, at ang kanyang mga mata’y nalunod sa luha. Sa pagninilay sa kakila-kilabot na pagkapuksa ng anak at sa pagpatay sa kapatid, siya’y bumaon sa mabigat at malalim na pag-iisip.
