कुम्भकर्णप्रस्थानम् तथा अङ्गदप्रेरणा
Kumbhakarna’s sortie and Angada’s rallying of the Vanaras
सम्प्राप्नुयामःकीर्तिंवानिहत्वाशत्रुमाहवे ।जीवितंवीरलोकस्यमोक्ष्यामोवसुवानराः ।।।।
samprāpnuyāmaḥ kīrtiṁ vā nihatvā śatrum āhave |
jīvitaṁ vīralokasya mokṣyāmo vasu vānarāḥ ||
Kung mapapatay natin ang kaaway sa labanan, makakamit natin ang katanyagan; at kung ialay man ang buhay, mapapalaya tayo tungo sa daigdig ng mga bayani—O mga mandirigmang Vānara.
"By killing the enemy, we will attain fame. Or else we will attain the world of Brahma, liberated."
Kṣatra-dharma: a warrior’s duty is steadfastness in a righteous war—either victory with honor or death without disgrace.
Kumbhakarṇa’s approach terrifies the Vānara ranks; Aṅgada steels them by framing battle as the only dharmic choice.
Vīrya (valor) joined with niścaya (resolve): choosing honor and duty over fear and self-preservation.
