कुम्भकर्णोपदेशः
Kumbhakarna’s Counsel and War-Boast to Ravana
यदुक्तमिहतेपूर्वंक्रियतामनुजेन च ।तदेवनोहितंवाक्यंयदिच्छसि च तत्कुरु ।।6.63.21।।
yad uktam iha te pūrvaṃ kriyatām anujena ca | tad eva no hitaṃ vākyaṃ yadi cchasi ca tat kuru ||6.63.21||
Ang sinabi sa iyo noon ng iyong nakababatang kapatid ay gawin; yaon lamang ang payong para sa ating ikabubuti. Gayunman, kung nais mo, gawin mo ang iyong ibig.
"The advice given to you in the past by your brother alone is good. That is good for you. Or you may do what you wish."
Dharma favors heeding truthful counsel even when it comes from within the family; rejecting it invites collective harm.
Kumbhakarṇa urges Rāvaṇa to act on the earlier advice given by his younger brother (Vibhīṣaṇa), while acknowledging Rāvaṇa’s final choice.
