The ten headed indomitable Lord of Rakshasas with his arrows that resembled serpents, dreadful, capable of piercing into vital parts began to strike at Neela, the leader of monkeys.
Dharma as protective resistance: when attacked unjustly or overwhelmingly, a righteous defender may respond with full strength to stop the aggressor and safeguard the community.
Under heavy arrow-fire, Nīla counterattacks by uprooting and throwing a mountain-peak at Rāvaṇa.
Courage and resourcefulness in battle (śaurya and prajñā) are shown through improvising a massive weapon.
