Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
यश्चैवशक्त्याभिहतस्त्वयाऽद्यइच्छन्विषादंसहसाभ्युपेत्य ।सएषरक्षोगणराजमृत्युःसपुत्रपौत्रस्यतवाद्ययुद्धे ।।6.59.131।।
yaś caiva śaktyābhihatas tvayā ’dya icchan viṣādaṁ sahasābhyupetya | sa eṣa rakṣogaṇarājamṛtyuḥ sa putrapautrasya tavādya yuddhe ||6.59.131||
At ang iyong tinamaan ngayon ng sandatang śakti—bagaman hangad lamang niyang wakasan ang kanyang dalamhati—ay biglang sumugod: narito siya bilang kamatayan para sa iyo, O hari ng mga pangkat ng Rākṣasa, at para sa iyong mga anak at apo sa digmaang ito.
"Oh! king of Rakshasa troop! He, who was struck without support now, even if he were to come now in front, you with your sons and grandsons will be struck to death by him."
Adharma rebounds: violence and injustice done to others can return as one’s own destruction; dharma frames battle as consequence, not mere rage.
In the heat of combat, the speaker warns Rāvaṇa that the warrior he harmed will become the agent of his downfall and that of his lineage.
Resolute justice and fearlessness—refusal to be intimidated by the enemy’s weapons or lineage.
