Pagkasabi nito, tinusok niya ng matutulis na palaso ang dalawang matuwid na magkapatid—sina Rama at Lakshmana; nagalak siya at umungal nang malakas.
Indrajith having spoken to the righteous brothers Rama and Lakshmana in that way, began to pain them with arrows and stood rejoiced roaring aloud.
Dharma is tested under injury: the righteous may suffer, yet their commitment to right conduct remains the defining standard.
Immediately after taunting them, Indrajit wounds Rama and Lakshmana and celebrates his apparent advantage.
Rama and Lakshmana are marked as dharma-knowers; the antagonist’s glee underscores his cruelty and moral inversion.
