चतुश्चत्वारिंशः सर्गः (Sarga 44): निशायुद्धम्, धूलिरुधिरप्रवाहः, इन्द्रजितो मायायुद्धम्
तेषांरामश्शरैःषडिभःषडजघाननिशाचरान् ।।।।निमेषान्तरमात्रेणशितैरग्निशिखोपमैः ।यमशत्रुश्चदुर्धर्षोमहापार्श्वमहोदरौ ।।।।वज्रदंष्ट्रोमहाकायस्तौचोभौशुकसारणौ ।तेतुरामेणबाणौघैस्सर्वेमर्मसुताडिताः ।।।।युद्धादपसृतास्तत्रसावशेषायुषोऽभवन् ।
teṣāṃ rāmaḥ śaraiḥ ṣaḍbhiḥ ṣaḍ ajaghāna niśācarān | nimeṣāntaramātreṇa śitair agniśikhopamaiḥ || yamaśatruś ca durdharṣo mahāpārśvamahodarau | vajradaṃṣṭro mahākāyas tau cobhau śukasāraṇau || te tu rāmeṇa bāṇaughaiḥ sarve marmasu tāḍitāḥ | yuddhād apasṛtās tatra sāvaśeṣāyuṣo 'bhavan ||
Sa isang kisapmata, pinana ni Rāma ng anim na matatalim na palaso—tila dila ng apoy—ang anim na naglalagalag sa gabi na Rākṣasa: si Yamaśatru, ang di-mapasubalian (Durdharṣa), Mahāpārśva, Mahodara, Vajradaṃṣṭra, at Mahākāya, kasama pa ang dalawa—Śuka at Sāraṇa. Tinamaan ng ulang-palaso ni Rāma sa kanilang mahahalagang bahagi, umurong sila mula sa labanan, nabubuhay na lamang sa natitirang hininga ng buhay.
Then Vanaras and dreadful Rakshasas being strongly inimical to each other started the night battle wishing victory.
Dharma appears as measured, effective force used to restrain adharma: Rāma’s precision (striking vital points swiftly) restores order without needless prolongation of suffering.
A named group of Rākṣasa leaders presses the attack; Rāma answers instantly with six blazing arrows and drives them back wounded.
Kṣātra-tejas (martial excellence) joined with clarity and control—Rāma acts decisively, not chaotically, even amid night-confusion.
