Saramā Consoles Sītā; Preparations in Laṅkā
तस्यदृष्टवामुखंदेवी पूर्णचन्द्रमिवोदितम् ।मोक्ष्यसेशोकजंवारिनिर्मोकमिवपन्नगी ।।।।
tasya dṛṣṭvā mukhaṃ devi pūrṇacandram ivoditam |
mokṣyase śokajaṃ vāri nirmokam iva pannagī ||
O banal na ginang, kapag nasilayan mo ang kanyang mukha—na parang kabilugang buwan na bagong sumisikat—ihuhulog mo ang luhang mula sa dalamhati, gaya ng paghubad ng balat ng babaeng ahas.
Saarana saw her friend Sita, who had lost consciousness, fully covered by dust by rolling on the dirty ground like a female horse.
Dharma culminates in restoration: truthful perseverance through grief is purified when righteousness (Rāma’s victory and reunion) becomes manifest.
Saramā comforts Sītā by depicting how the sight of Rāma will immediately dispel her accumulated grief.
Hope grounded in truth—Sītā is encouraged to endure because the moral order is about to be re-established.
