Aditya Hridayam Upadeśa — Agastya’s Instruction to Rāma
जयायजयभद्रायहर्यश्वायनमोनमः ।नमोनमस्सहस्रांशोआदित्यायनमोनमः ।।6.107.17।।
jayāya jayabhadrāya haryaśvāya namo namaḥ |
namo namas sahasrāṃśo ādityāya namo namaḥ || 6.107.17 ||
Pagpupugay, pagpupugay sa Iyo na nagbibigay ng tagumpay at ng mapalad na kabutihang isinilang sa tagumpay; pagpupugay, pagpupugay sa Iyo na may luntiang mga kabayo. Pagpupugay, pagpupugay sa Iyo na may sanlibong sinag—kay Āditya, pagpupugay, pagpupugay.
"Namaskar, Namaskar to the giver of victory, joy born of victory, god having green horses. Hail to you Aditya.
Victory is framed as dharmic, not merely martial: triumph is sought as ‘auspicious good’ that restores truth and order.
Agastya concludes this segment of praise with repeated salutations to Sūrya as bestower of victory before Rāma re-engages the battle.
Purposeful courage: seeking victory for the sake of satya and restoration of dharma, not for pride.
