Morning Rites Turn to Lament

ततस्तु स्तुवतां तेषां सूतानां पाणिवादकाः।अपदानान्युदाहृत्य पाणिवादा नवादयन्।।।।

tatas tu stuvatāṁ teṣāṁ sūtānāṁ pāṇivādakāḥ | apadānāny udāhṛtya pāṇivādā navādayan ||

Pagkaraan, habang umaawit ang mga sutang makata, ang mga pumapalo ng palad ay tumugtog ng tiyempo—binibigkas ang mga bantog na gawa ng hari at nagpapalakas ng kanilang kumpas na palakpak.
