Glory of Prayaga and the Magha Bath at Triveni
Narada (teaching in a tirtha-mahatmya sequence; dialogue frame traditionally with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"karuna","emotional_journey":"Pilgrimage to Mahādeva’s seat expands from personal act to compassionate, lineage-wide redemption, ending in an uplifting promise of ancestral and descendant deliverance."}
It teaches the tirtha-mahātmyā principle that pilgrimage to Mahādeva’s sacred abode generates merit powerful enough to uplift one’s lineage—benefiting both ancestors and descendants.
By emphasizing going to Mahādeva’s holy seat with reverence, it frames devotion expressed through pilgrimage and worship as a concrete act that yields spiritual welfare beyond the individual.
Primarily Dharma-śāstric practice rather than a Vedāṅga: it reflects the ritual logic of tīrtha-yātrā and pitṛ-related merit (pitr̥-kārya), where sacred geography and prescribed acts are believed to produce trans-generational punya.
