Malapit sa pastulan ng mga baka ay may mga punong mangga na itinatag ni Brahmā. Sa pagdidilig lamang sa mga ito, ang mga ninuno ay tumutungo sa mokṣa, ang paglaya.
Suta (narrating the Tirtha-Mahatmya as received in the Purana tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that even a small act of dharma—watering sacred trees connected with a tirtha—can generate powerful merit that benefits one’s Pitrs, culminating in their progress toward moksha.
By emphasizing humble service (seva) done with reverence—here, tending what is considered divinely established—the verse points to bhakti expressed through simple, sincere actions rather than complex displays.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) in a minimal form: a prescribed, meritorious act (tree-watering) within tirtha-mahatmya and pitr-related observances, showing how simple rites are framed as spiritually efficacious.
