Sinumang magbuhos ng tubig ng Gaṅgā sa batong Śālagrāma—pagkatapos mapawi ang matinding dilim, ito’y nagniningning na parang araw sa pagsikat.
Sūta (narrating Narada Purana’s Uttara-bhāga teachings; the instruction is aligned with the Narada–Sanatkumāra tradition of Vaiṣṇava tīrtha-mahātmya)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"From the act of offering Gaṅgā-water to Śālagrāma to the felt result: darkness removed and radiant purity arising like sunrise."}
It teaches that offering Gaṅgā-water to Śālagrāma (a sacred emblem of Viṣṇu) removes heavy spiritual darkness—symbolizing the destruction of pāpa and ajñāna—and brings inner radiance like sunrise.
Bhakti is expressed through simple, reverent arcana: honoring Viṣṇu in Śālagrāma form with pure tīrtha-water. The verse emphasizes transformation through devotional offering rather than complexity—darkness is dispelled by sincere worship.
It highlights ritual practice (kalpa-oriented application): abhiṣeka/ārādhanā using sanctified water (Gaṅgā-jala) for a Vaiṣṇava icon (Śālagrāma), stressing correct sacred materials and purposeful offering.
