Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative

फलं कर्मणि चारब्धे यदि देवी न सिद्ध्यति । सर्वयत्नेन सुभगे दोषः कोऽत्र तवाधुना ॥ ३४ ॥

phalaṃ karmaṇi cārabdhe yadi devī na siddhyati | sarvayatnena subhage doṣaḥ ko'tra tavādhunā || 34 ||

Kung ang ritwal ay nasimulan nang wasto ngunit hindi ipinagkakaloob ng Diyosa ang tagumpay at hindi lumilitaw ang bunga—O mapalad, kahit ibinuhos mo ang lahat ng pagsisikap—anong kasalanan ang nasa iyo ngayon?
