Mohinī-ākhyāna: The Trial of Ekādaśī and the King’s Satya-saṅkalpa
अहं हि दासस्तव भूप यस्माद्विक्रीयतां मामथवा तृणाय । हस्ते हि पापस्य दिवाप्रकीर्तेर्वत्स्यामि तत्कर्मकरः सुभुक्तः ॥ ७९ ॥
ahaṃ hi dāsastava bhūpa yasmādvikrīyatāṃ māmathavā tṛṇāya | haste hi pāpasya divāprakīrtervatsyāmi tatkarmakaraḥ subhuktaḥ || 79 ||
O hari, yamang ako’y tunay na alipin mo, ipagbili mo ako—kahit kapalit lamang ng isang talim ng damo. Mamumuhay ako sa kamay ng makasalanang may masamang pangalan, maglilingkod bilang abang utusan, at titiisin ko ito, kahit ako’y pakainin nang mabuti.
