The Discourse of Rukmāṅgada
Prabodhinī Ekādaśī, Kārtika-vrata, and Satya-dharma
mohinyuvāca | sādhūktaṃ hi tvayā rājanpūjanaṃ cakrapāṇinaḥ | janmamṛtyujarāchedi kariṣye'haṃ tavājñayā || 49 ||
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
The verse presents Viṣṇu-worship (cakrapāṇi-pūjā) as a mokṣa-oriented practice—one that is explicitly described as destroying the cycle marked by birth, death, and old age.
Bhakti is shown as obedient, reverent worship offered to Viṣṇu; the devotee’s focus is not merely worldly benefit but liberation from saṃsāra, indicating devotion as a direct spiritual means.
While no specific Vedāṅga is named, the verse implies correct pūjā-vidhi (ritual procedure), which traditionally relies on Śikṣā (proper recitation) and Kalpa (ritual rules) to perform worship in an authorized way.
