Mohinī-Saṃmohana
The Enchantment of Mohinī
A male speaker in a narrative dialogue (identity not explicit from this single verse)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shringara","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"Affection intensifies into hyperbolic devotion (‘dearer than life’), then turns to forward motion toward shared enjoyment."}
The verse portrays strong worldly attachment and desire for domestic happiness, a common narrative motif in the Purana that later serves as contrast to higher dharma and the transformative power of tīrtha, vrata, and devotion.
Direct bhakti instruction is not stated here; instead, the verse reflects human longing and attachment—conditions that Purāṇic narratives often redirect toward devotion to Viṣṇu through later teachings, vows (vrata), or tīrtha-mahātmyas.
No explicit Vedāṅga topic (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa ritual procedure) is taught in this verse; it functions primarily as narrative dialogue establishing motivation and emotion.
