The Description of the Glory of Dvādaśī

Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada, describing the फल-श्रुति)
Vrata: Ekādaśī-vrata (implied by immediate context)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents a classic Purāṇic phala-śruti: the praised sacred act is said to yield both worldly welfare (sovereignty, progeny, spouse, health) and the highest aim (mokṣa), showing that dharmic practice can culminate in liberation.
By linking tangible life-blessings with svarga and mokṣa, it motivates sustained devotion and disciplined observance; in the Narada Purana’s style, such results are typically understood as arising from faithful worship and reverence for the sacred (tīrtha/vrata) connected to the Lord.
The verse functions as phala-śruti rather than a Vedāṅga lesson; practically, it reflects dharma-śāstra style incentive-structure used in ritual manuals—stating specific outcomes to encourage correct performance of a vrata or tīrtha-related rite.
