The Description of Mārkaṇḍeya
सत्कथाश्रवणे येषां वर्त्तते सात्विकी मतिः । तद्भक्तविष्णुभक्ताश्च ते वै भागवतोत्तमाः ॥ ५२ ॥
satkathāśravaṇe yeṣāṃ varttate sātvikī matiḥ | tadbhaktaviṣṇubhaktāśca te vai bhāgavatottamāḥ || 52 ||
Yaong ang dalisay (sāttvika) na pag-unawa ay nananatili sa pakikinig ng mga banal na salaysay, at may debosyon kapwa sa mga deboto Niya at kay Panginoong Viṣṇu—sila nga ang pinakapanguna sa mga Bhāgavata.
