गर्भैकादशमेऽब्दे तु राजन्यस्योपनायनम् । आद्वाविंशाब्दपर्यंतं कालमाहुर्विपश्चितः ॥ १२ ॥
garbhaikādaśame'bde tu rājanyasyopanāyanam | ādvāviṃśābdaparyaṃtaṃ kālamāhurvipaścitaḥ || 12 ||
Para sa isang Kṣatriya (rājanya), ang upanayana (pagpasok sa pag-aaral ng Veda) ay itinakda sa ikalabing-isang taon mula sa paglilihi; ipinahahayag ng mga pantas na ang pinahihintulutang panahon ay umaabot hanggang ikadalawampu’t dalawang taon.
