Nārada’s Hymn to Viṣṇu
Nāradasya Viṣṇu-stavaḥ
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It establishes the Supreme as the single source of all cosmic functions—deities and beings act through His śakti—so devotion is directed beyond intermediaries to the unborn, eternal Truth.
Bhakti here is expressed as continuous namaskāra (satatam nato ’smi) to the Lord who empowers all, cultivating humility and God-centered worship rather than pride in worldly or celestial powers.
Indirectly, it supports Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology) by acknowledging Sun and Moon as cosmic regulators, while emphasizing that their efficacy ultimately depends on the Supreme Lord’s śakti.
