दुःस्वन्पनाशनं धर्म्यं दुष्टग्रहनिवारणम् । सर्वलोकेषु विख्यातं पूर्णिमाव्रतमुत्तम् । येन चीर्णेन पापानां राशिकोटिः प्रशाम्यति ॥ ३ ॥
duḥsvanpanāśanaṃ dharmyaṃ duṣṭagrahanivāraṇam | sarvalokeṣu vikhyātaṃ pūrṇimāvratamuttam | yena cīrṇena pāpānāṃ rāśikoṭiḥ praśāmyati || 3 ||
Ang kataas-taasang Pūrṇimā-vrata (panata sa kabilugan ng buwan) ay maka-dharma; winawasak nito ang masasamang panaginip at itinataboy ang mapaminsalang impluwensiya ng mga planeta. Kilala sa lahat ng daigdig, kapag ito’y isinagawa nang wasto, kahit ang naipong bunton ng kasalanan na umaabot sa maraming krore ay napapawi.
