Suta
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It establishes the sacred method of transmission—śravaṇa (listening) to an authoritative lineage—where Sūta faithfully recounts Nārada’s spoken teaching to the assembled sages.
By emphasizing attentive listening to a realized teacher’s words, it highlights śravaṇa as a foundational limb of bhakti, preparing the audience to receive Nārada’s guidance without distortion.
The verse does not teach a specific Vedāṅga topic directly; it underscores disciplined oral recitation and faithful reproduction of speech, a prerequisite for accurate preservation of śāstra (and thus for Vedāṅga study such as vyākaraṇa and śikṣā).
