Dharmopadeśa-Śānti: Rules of Impurity, Expiations, and Ancestor Rites
अनूढ न पृथक्कन्या पिण्डे गोत्रे च सूतके । पाणिग्रहणमन्त्राभ्यां स्वगोत्राद्भ्रश्यते ततः ॥ ८१ ॥
anūḍha na pṛthakkanyā piṇḍe gotre ca sūtake | pāṇigrahaṇamantrābhyāṃ svagotrādbhraśyate tataḥ || 81 ||
Ang dalagang hindi pa naipapakasal ay hindi itinuturing na hiwalay sa angkan ng ama hinggil sa piṇḍa, gotra, at sūtaka (panahong di-kadalisayan). Ngunit kapag natapos ang kasal sa pamamagitan ng mga mantra ng pāṇigrahaṇa (pagkuha sa kamay), saka siya nahihiwalay sa sariling gotra (sa ama).
