Narration of Dharma
Narada (teaching within a dharma/ritual instruction context; traditional dialogue frame with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that correctly performed devotion expressed through pradakṣiṇā is not merely symbolic; when done according to vidhāna, it becomes a grace-bearing act that stabilizes one’s merit and protects one’s heavenly attainments through Śaṅkara’s prasāda.
Bhakti is shown as embodied practice: reverence to Śiva through circumambulation done with discipline and correctness. The verse emphasizes that devotion joined with proper observance draws divine grace (prasāda), which safeguards the devotee’s spiritual and karmic results.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied through the insistence on vidhāna—doing the act in the prescribed way (including orientation/sequence). The verse highlights that correct ritual method is integral to the intended phala (result).
