Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
Aditi
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the Supreme (Vishnu as Ādyapuruṣa) as the sustaining ground of all beings and all universes, teaching surrender to the Lord who alone is “cause of all causes.”
Aditi’s address is a direct stuti (praise-prayer): she approaches the Lord with humility and dependence, modeling bhakti as reverent invocation of the Supreme Protector and Sustainer.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught directly; the verse functions as a theological-cosmological identification used in mantra-style praise within Purāṇic narration.
