सौम्यायने क्षत्रविप्रानितरां हन्ति दक्षिणे । द्विजातीं श्चक्रमाद्धंति राहुदृष्टोरगादितः ॥ ८९ ॥
saumyāyane kṣatraviprānitarāṃ hanti dakṣiṇe | dvijātīṃ ścakramāddhaṃti rāhudṛṣṭoragāditaḥ || 89 ||
Sa hilagang paglalakbay ng Araw, higit nitong tinatamaan ang mga Kṣatriya at Brāhmaṇa; sa timog na paglalakbay, lalo nitong dinadapuan ng pighati ang mga dvija, ang dalawang-ulit na isinilang. Ang mga mapanlaban na puwersa—mula sa mga ahas at iba pa, at yaong nasa ilalim ng titig ni Rāhu—ay sumasalakay nang paikot sa mga siklo.
