Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
त्यागी यज्वात्मवान् यूथे हिंस्रो गुह्याधिपः शरैः । शक्तौ नीचोऽलसो निःस्वो दण्डे प्रियवियोगभाक् ॥ १९९ ॥
tyāgī yajvātmavān yūthe hiṃsro guhyādhipaḥ śaraiḥ | śaktau nīco'laso niḥsvo daṇḍe priyaviyogabhāk || 199 ||
Sa pamamagitan ng mga palaso, ang tao’y nagiging mapagpakawalan, tagapaghandog ng yajña, at may pagpipigil-sa-sarili; sa loob ng pangkat o hukbo, nagiging marahas at pinuno ng mga lihim na gawain. Sa sibat, nagiging hamak, tamad, at dukha; sa daṇḍa (pamalo ng parusa), nagiging dumanas ng pagkalayo sa minamahal.
