खरवेंदुरामविहतं मानं द्रोणादिवारिणः । विस्तारायामवेधानांमंगुल्योन्यनाडिघ्नाः ॥ ५३ ॥
kharaveṃdurāmavihataṃ mānaṃ droṇādivāriṇaḥ | vistārāyāmavedhānāṃmaṃgulyonyanāḍighnāḥ || 53 ||
Ang pamantayang sukat para sa mga likido—mula sa droṇa at iba pa—ay itinatakda sa tiyak na pagbibilang. Para sa sukat ng lapad, haba, at pagbutas (lalim), ang mga yunit ay nakabatay sa aṅgula (lapad ng daliri) at sa sunod-sunod na paghahati, hanggang sa nāḍī na nag-aayos ng mga pagkakaibang nagkakasalungat.
