Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 106

Sṛṣṭi-pralaya-kathana: Mahābhūta-guṇāḥ, Vṛkṣa-indriya-vādaḥ, Prāṇa-vāyu-vyavasthā

अपानप्राणयोर्मध्ये प्राणापानसमीहितः । समन्वितस्त्वधिष्ठानं सम्यक् पचति पावकः ॥ १०६ ॥

apānaprāṇayormadhye prāṇāpānasamīhitaḥ | samanvitastvadhiṣṭhānaṃ samyak pacati pāvakaḥ || 106 ||

Sa pagitan ng apāna at prāṇa, kapag ang prāṇa at apāna ay wastong nagkakaugnay, ang panloob na apoy—na matatag na nakalagay sa kaniyang luklukan—ay “nagluluto” (tumutunaw) ng sustansiya nang tama.
