Brāhma Purāṇānukramaṇikā
Sanatana
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It shows that sacred instruction should begin with remembrance of Nārāyaṇa and that true Purāṇic teaching is measured by its capacity to bring welfare to all beings.
Bhakti is indicated through brief meditation (dhyāna) on Nārāyaṇa before speaking; devotion becomes the foundation for truthful, beneficial teaching and praise of dharmic discourse.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Śikṣā) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is the ritual-literary convention of invoking the deity (smaraṇa/dhyāna) before instruction.
