ब्राह्मण उवाच तव संप्रीतये तस्याः वरेष्टिरुपकारिणी । क्रियते मित्रकामैर्या मित्रविन्दां करोमि ताम् ॥

Transliteration

brāhmaṇa uvāca tava saṃprītaye tasyā vareṣṭir upakāriṇī / kriyate mitrakāmair yā mitravindāṃ karomi tām

Translation

Wika ng brahmana: “Upang ganap kang masiyahan, may isang lubhang kapaki-pakinabang na ‘vara-iṣṭi’ (handog/ritwal na nagkakaloob ng biyaya) para sa kanya. Isinasagawa ito ng mga nagnanais ng pagkakaibigan; sa pamamagitan nito ay gagawin ko siyang ‘Mitravindā’—yaong nakasusumpong, o sumasakatawan, sa mapagkaibigang paglingap.”
