Adhyaya 58 — The Kurma-Form of Narayana: Mapping Bharata through Nakshatras, Regions, and Planetary Afflictions

Affliction is met with purification and constructive action—charity and sacrifice—framing ‘remedy’ as ethical-religious responsibility, grounded in devotion to the cosmic Lord.
The theological claim ‘Nārāyaṇa is the cause of the world’ belongs to Sarga/Pratisarga theology; the ritual instruction is ancillary dharma/prāyaścitta guidance attached to the cosmology.
The ‘Vaiṣṇava foot’ suggests a sacred point of contact between cosmos and practitioner: by rites (bath, homa, dāna) one aligns the microcosm with the cosmic limb of Nārāyaṇa.
