Transliteration

na khalv anyatra martyānāṃ bhūmau karma vidhīyate / tasmād vistaraśo brahman! mamaitad bhārataṃ vada

Translation

Tunay nga, para sa mga mortal, ang pagkilos (bilang itinakdang landas) ay hindi iniuutos sa ibang dako sa daigdig. Kaya, O Brahmana, isalaysay mo sa akin nang detalyado ang Bhārata na ito.
