Adhyaya 50 — Mind-Born Progeny, Svayambhuva Manu’s Lineage, and Brahmā’s Ordinance to Duḥsaha (Alakṣmī’s Retinue)
सन्ततिश्चानसूया च ऊर्जा स्वाहा स्वधा तथा ।
भृगुर्भवो मरीचिश्च तथा चैवाङ्गिरा मुनिः ॥
santatiś cānasūyā ca ūrjā svāhā svadhā tathā | bhṛgur bhavo marīciś ca tathā caivāṅgirā muniḥ ||
At (gayundin) sina Santati, Anasūyā, Ūrjā, Svāhā, at Svadhā. (Ang kanilang mga asawa ay) si Bhṛgu, si Bhava (Śiva), si Marīci, at ang pantas na si Aṅgiras.
Ritual and ancestry are anchored in personified principles: svāhā (deva-offering) and svadhā (pitṛ-offering) show that sustaining gods and honoring ancestors are both integral to dharmic life.
