Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
तिष्ठेच्च शासने तेषां श्रेयस्कामो द्विजोत्तमः ।
न च तान् विवदेद्वीमानाक्रुष्टश्चापि तैः सदा ॥
tiṣṭhec ca śāsane teṣāṃ śreyaskāmo dvijottamaḥ |
na ca tān vivaded vīmān ākruṣṭaś cāpi taiḥ sadā ||
Ang pangunahing dalawang-ulit-na-ipinanganak na nagnanais ng kapakanan ay dapat mamuhay ayon sa kanilang tagubilin; huwag makipagtalo sa kanila, ni magkimkim ng hinanakit, kahit siya ay mapagalitan nila.

Welfare (śreyas) is linked to teachability and restraint. Even harsh correction should be met without ego-driven quarrel; this protects both social harmony and one’s spiritual progress.
Normative dharma instruction (ācāra), not within the five lakṣaṇas.
The ‘rebuke’ can be read as the friction of discipline against ego. Not reacting defensively is an inner yajña: offering pride into the fire of discernment.
