Adhyaya 26 — Madālasa Names Alarka and Reorients Him Toward Kshatriya Duty
द्वितीयोऽस्याः सुतो जज्ञे तस्य नामाकरोत्पिता ।
सुबाहुरयमित्युक्ते सा जाहास मदालसा ॥
dvitīyo 'syāḥ suto jajñe tasya nāmākarot pitā / subāhur ayam ity ukte sā jāhāsa madālasā
Isang ikalawang anak na lalaki ang isinilang sa kanya. Binigyan siya ng ama ng pangalan; nang sabihin, “Ang isang ito ay si Subāhu,” tumawa si Madālasā.
