Chapter 58: Arjuna’s Deployment of the Indra-Weapon

तावुभौ ख्यातकर्माणावुभौ वायुसमौ जवे । उभौ दिव्यास्त्रविदुषावुभावुत्तमतेजसौ । क्षिपन्ती शरजालानि मोहयामासतुर्न॒पान्‌,दोनों ही विख्यात पराक्रमी थे। वेगमें दोनों ही वायुके समान थे। वे दोनों गुरु-शिष्य दिव्यास्त्रोंके महापण्डित और उत्तम तेजसे सम्पन्न थे। परस्पर बाणोंकी झड़ी लगाते हुए दोनोंने सब राजाओंको मोहमें डाल दिया

tāv ubhau khyātakarmāṇāv ubhau vāyusamau jave | ubhau divyāstraviduṣāv ubhāv uttamatejasau | kṣipantī śarajālāni mohayāmāsatur nṛpān ||

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Kapwa sila bantog sa kanilang mga gawa, at sa bilis ay parang hangin. Kapwa sila bihasa sa mga makalangit na sandata, kapwa nagliliyab sa dakilang ningning. Sa pag-ulan nila sa isa’t isa ng mga lambat ng palaso, nalito maging ang mga haring nanonood, anupa’t halos hindi maunawaan ang takbo ng labanan—larawan ng kinang ng kagitingan na nagbababala rin na ang palabas at husay ay maaaring magpalabo ng malinaw na paghatol.
