एवं स सुबहून् मल्लान् पुरुषांश्न महाबलान् | विनिध्नन् मत्स्यराजस्य प्रीतिमाहरदुत्तमाम्,इसी तरह बहुत-से पहलवानों और महाबली पुरुषोंको मारकर भीमसेनने मत्स्यनरेश विराटका उत्तम प्रेम प्राप्त किया
evaṁ sa bahūn mallān puruṣāṁś ca mahābalān | vinighnan matsyarājasya prītim āharad uttamām ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Kaya si Bhīmasena, matapos pabagsakin ang maraming manlalaban at mga lalaking ubod-lakas, ay nagkamit ng pinakamataas na pagsang-ayon at paglingap ng hari ng Matsya, si Virāṭa.
