कुमुदोत्पलपद्मानां गन्धमादाय वायुना । महीधरस्थ: शीतेन सहसा प्रतिबोधित:,शरदऋतुके निर्मल आकाशमें ग्रह, नक्षत्र तथा ताराओंसहित विमल चन्द्रमाका दर्शन करके शत्रुसंहारक श्रीराम अभी पर्वतपर सोये ही थे कि कुमुद, उत्पल और पद्मोंकी सुगन्ध लेकर बहती हुई शीतल एवं सुखद वायुने उन्हें सहसा जगा दिया

Wika ni Mārkaṇḍeya: “Nang dumaan ang malamig na simoy na may dalang halimuyak ng kumuda, utpala, at lotus (padma), si Rāma—na nagpapahinga sa bundok—ay biglang nagising. Ipinahihiwatig ng tagpong ito ang payapang linaw ng langit sa taglagas, at nagpapaalala na maging ang tagapagpuksa ng kaaway ay napapasunod sa marahang panawagan ng kalikasan.”
