Sītā–Rāvaṇa Dialogue in the Aśoka Grove

Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the verse primarily signals completion, but it also frames the Durvāsā-related narrative as a discrete ethical unit within the forest-exile context—highlighting how episodes are organized to reflect dharma under pressure and the consequences of conduct.

This line is not part of the story’s action; it is an editorial/colophonic closure stating that the 263rd chapter, dealing with the Durvāsā-related account within the Draupadīharaṇa section of the Vana Parva, has concluded.
