Dharma-vyādha’s Analysis of Moral Decline and the Mahābhūta–Guṇa Schema (धर्मव्याधोपदेशः)
रक्षितारं च राजानं ब्राह्मणं च तपस्विनम् । अभिगम्याभिपूज्याथ सद्यः पापात् प्रमुच्यते
rakṣitāraṃ ca rājānaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ ca tapasvinam | abhigamyābhipūjyātha sadyaḥ pāpāt pramucyate ||
Wika ni Yudhiṣṭhira: Kapag lumapit ang tao at nagbigay ng nararapat na paggalang sa isang haring nagtatanggol sa kanyang mga nasasakupan, at sa isang Brahmanang nakatuon sa pag-aayuno at pagninilay (tapas), agad siyang napapalaya sa kasalanan. Ipinahihiwatig ng taludtod na ang paggalang sa makatarungang pag-iingat sa daigdig at sa tunay na disiplina ng espiritu ay nagpapadalisay ng asal at nagbabalik sa pagkakatugma sa dharma.
युधिछिर उवाच
Respectful approach and sincere honoring of two pillars of dharma—just royal protection of society and authentic ascetic-spiritual discipline—has purificatory power, freeing one from sinful taint and reorienting one toward righteous living.
Yudhiṣṭhira states a dharma-principle: one who goes to a protector-king and to an austere Brahmin and pays them due honor gains immediate release from sin, highlighting the social and spiritual authorities that sustain order and moral life.
