Impermanence, Svabhāva, and Śuka’s Resolve for Yoga
विश्वावयुरुवाच तथ्यं शुभं चैतदुक्त त्वया विभो सम्यक् क्षेम्यं दैवताद्यं यथावत् । स्वस्त्यक्षयं भवतश्चास्तु नित्यं बुद्धा सदा बुद्धियुक्त मनस्ते
Viśvāvasur uvāca—tathyaṁ śubhaṁ caitad uktaṁ tvayā vibho samyak kṣemyaṁ daivatādyaṁ yathāvat | svasty akṣayaṁ bhavataś cāstu nityaṁ buddhā sadā buddhiyuktaṁ manas te ||
Wika ni Viśvāvasu: “O Panginoon, ang iyong sinabi ay totoo at mapalad. Iyong inilarawan nang wasto at ayon sa kaayusan ang Brahman, ang unang pinagmulan ng mga diyos—isang salaysay na mabuti at lubhang kapaki-pakinabang. Nawa’y sumaiyo magpakailanman ang di-nasisirang kagalingan; nawa’y manatiling laging gising ang iyong isip at nakaugnay sa karunungan.”
याज़्ञवल्क्य उवाच
The verse affirms that a correct, orderly exposition of Brahman as the primordial source of the gods is both true and auspicious, and it highlights the ethical-spiritual ideal that the teacher’s mind should remain continually awakened and united with wisdom.
After hearing the discourse, Viśvāvasu offers respectful praise and a benediction—wishing the speaker imperishable welfare and steady wisdom—signaling closure to this portion of the instruction.
