निर्वेदोपदेशः (Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking

वह्लिं चापि सुसंदीप्तं मीनांश्वापि सुपीवरान्‌ । स गौतमायातिथये न्यवेदयत काश्यपि:,कश्यपके उस पुत्रने अग्नि प्रजजलित कर दी और मोटे-मोटे मत्स्य लाकर अपने अतिथि गौतमको अर्पित कर दिये

vahliṁ cāpi susandīptaṁ mīnānś cāpi supīvarān | sa gautamāyātithaye nyavedayat kāśyapiḥ ||

Wika ni Bhishma: Pinaningas din niya ang apoy ng paghahandog upang magningas nang maliwanag, at nagdala ng malalaki at matatabang isda. Sa gayon, ang anak ni Kaśyapa ay naghandog ng mga ito sa pantas na si Gautama na dumating bilang panauhin.
